MATERIAL PLANNING MANAGER/SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
LOCATION: SCUNTHORPE, DONCASTER
SALARY AND BENEFITS: £38,000 - £42,000 + Car allowance + benefits

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, THE RIGHT CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
- Knowledge of Kanban philosophies, practices and techniques along with master production scheduling, JIT and all other lean /Kaizen principles
- Previous experience relating to an MRPII system
- Prior experience in managing a Production planning, scheduling & capacity management department
- Previous experience within an Automotive business (any applicant without previous experience within this industry will not be successful.)

- The candidate must view the supply chain as an integral part to a business and be dedicated to the efficient flow of goods and services - targeting eliminating waste and reducing the total acquisition cost.
- The right candidate must be committed to eliminating barriers between the links of the supply chain, therefore optimising a better service at a lower cost.
ROLE INFORMATION:
- The Material Planning Manager forms part of the senior management team and has direct management responsibility for all logistics functions, encompassing planning, purchasing, expediting, warehouse and distribution.
- You will be required to provide an integrated approach to managing the total flow of all materials and components through the channels from customer back to suppliers.
- The Materials and Planning Manager takes responsibility for managing a small team of supply chain professionals including production planning, BOM integrity, Capacity planning, stock control and supplier scheduling.
- The successful applicant will be required to conduct an analysis of how the customer benefits from each process and how this can be maximised by simplification, streamlining and standardisation of overall activities.
