AIMHIGHER MENTOR / STUDENT LIAISON OFFICER

This is a part time, term time post for 1 year

The successful candidate will be expected to promote student involvement in all aspects of College life. You will be organising co-ordinating and supervising the activities of both Student Crew and the Student Council. You will work closely with the Student Council supporting the elected officers in the day to day running of their Council/Union and the various Sub Groups attached. In addition you will assist in the organisation and delivery of Aimhigher activities for an identified cohort of students. This will involve liaising with universities and other HE providers to organise visits, master classes and plan other targeted interventions to allow these young people to make informed choices re career pathways, courses, university or college.

These posts involve working with young people and vulnerable adults and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.crb.gov.uk.
