The Company\n\nCranswick Gourmet Kitchen is a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility based in Hull, and forms part of Cranswick plc. They are one of the UK's leading and most responsible food producers, renowned for supplying premium fresh and added-value food products to major retailers and foodservice customers.\n\nJob Purpose\n\nTo work closely with the Factory Manager, Production and the wider management team to make sure that the factory is fully loaded and working at peak capacity. Ensure manufacturing operations meet customer expectations for lead-time and delivery performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Compiles data from sources, such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records.\n\n * To be responsible for the implementation of the Formix, FOBS System and the general day to day running of its operation and maintenance.\n\n * To be responsible for setting and maintain new products on the Formix, FOBS, NAV systems\n\n * To oversee bulk and retail planning and delivery of achievable production plans using business processes in order to meet the Customer’s needs.\n\n * To buy reasonable raw materials, ingredients and packaging\n\n * Source new products and suppliers, ensuring their success through research, negotiating the trading agreements, supply terms and pricing\n\n * Manage existing suppliers ensuring mutual beneficial working relationships, reviewing service levels, supporting and negotiating terms and prices.\n\n * Reporting daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s.\n\n * Keeps back-order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.\n\n * Compile stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.\n\n * Co-ordination of stock counts, investigation & reconciliation of discrepancies and putting in place remedial action plans.\n\n * Required to liaise closely with production, customer services, purchasing and logistic departments.

To ensure efficiency, productivity and minimum downtime.\n\n * Liaise with Managers / Supervisors regarding any issues and report daily.\n\n * To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations.\n\n * To respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when always interacting with your colleagues.\n\n * Lead by example and maintain an appropriate behavioral standard.\n\nKey Requirements & Person Specifications\n\n * Previous experience within a Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning or Materials Planning role, ideally within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment.\n\n * Experience of production scheduling, capacity planning and inventory management.\n\n * Proven ability to develop and maintain production plans to meet customer demand while maximising factory efficiency.\n\n * Experience of purchasing raw materials, ingredients and packaging.\n\n * Strong supplier management and negotiation experience.\n\n * Experience of stock control, stock reconciliation and investigating inventory discrepancies.\n\n * Confident producing and analysing daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports.\n\n * Experience working collaboratively across Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Customer Service functions.\n\nThe role comes with a highly competitive base salary complimented by excellent company benefits
